Burger King Scholars Program

$50,000; 10 Awards

To be eligible, a student must have graduated from high school within the last three years or be a full-time high school senior.

Final Fantasy Fan Scholarship

$1,000; 1 Award

Deadline: December 15, 2019

Requirements:

  • Be a high school or college student who enjoys the Final Fantasy game franchise
  • Submit a brief essay explaining their relationship with Final Fantasy games

Edison Scholars Program

$40,000; 30 Awards

Deadline: December 16, 2019

Requirements:

  • Must be a high school senior with at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA, plan to pursue studies in the STEM fields at a four-year accredited college or university and show financial need

Eligible STEM majors include computer and information systems, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conservation and physical sciences

YDI Scholarship

New Mexico Coalition of Educational Leaders

Students need to submit the scholarship application form signed by a high school official, two letters of recommendation from teachers/school administrators, a typed essay (at least 300 words) outlining your reasons for entering the field of education. Official High School Transcript must be submitted prior to interview. Email your submission to jolynn@nmcel.org.

Requirements:

  • Be a graduating senior from any public high school in the state of New Mexico
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Be entering the field of education (teacher, counselor, school business official, etc.)

ExploraVision Student Awards

Requirements:

  • Must be United States citizen or legal resident living within the United States and enrolled full-time in a public, private, or home school
  • Must be no older than 21 years of age

Women's Cyber Security Scholarships

Requirements:

  • Be pursuing, or plan to pursue a degree with a focus on cybersecurity or information assurance
  • Be a senior in high school with a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale

Flavorful Futures Scholarship

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.
  • Must be a high school senior graduating between August 1, 2019 and July 31, 2020.
  • Must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4 point scale (high school/home schooled seniors).
  • Must enroll for Fall 2020 as a freshman or 1st year student in part-time or full-time study at a 2-year, 4-year, college, university, trade or vocational school. The school must be an accredited U.S. institution, and listed on the official website for the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Must not be a relative or dependent child of an employee of Talking Rain or any of its retail customers

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarships

  • Be a senior in high school in the United States
  • Have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities

Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship

American Indian Education Fund Scholarship

Up to $2,000 per year

Deadline: April 4, 2020

Requirements:

  • Be a Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian (student or one parent must be enrolled and have documentation)
  • Attending an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university or technical/vocational school
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student
  • GPA between 2.0 - 3.5 is desirable, however, ALL current or future undergraduate students are encouraged to apply
  • An ACT score of 14 or above is desirable

Full Circle Scholarship

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizen or Canadian eligible to attend college in the U.S. under provisions of the Jay Treaty;
  • Enrolled in a certificate, associate, bachelor’s, or graduate program at an accredited tribal, public, or private (non-profit) college or university;
  • Full-time enrollment (Full Circle applicants only);
  • Registered as an enrolled member of a federal or state recognized tribe, or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. Alaska Natives may use Native Corporation membership. Learn how to prove descent or trace Indian ancestry.
  • At least a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Your scholarship may require a higher GPA to maintain eligibility. (Students attending TCUs with less than a 2.0 GPA may be considered for Tribal College and University scholarships; however, each TCU makes this determination individually.)

American Indian Graduate Center Scholarships

Possible Self Scholarship

The Possible Self Scholarship is awarded to enrolled tribal members of the Pueblo of Acoma who have outstanding potential, leadership,motivation, and desire to succeed.

Requirements:

  • Must be entering their first, second, or third college semester OR must be an individual who is returning to school after a three or more yearlong break (students with existing bachelor's degrees are not eligible)
  • Must plan to be enrolled as a full-time degree seeking student in the next semester
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be an enrolled Pueblo of Acoma Tribal Member
  • No prior criminal history

Email the following required documents to possibleselfscholarship@gmail.com with your full name and 2020 in the subject line:

  • Tribal Enrollment Verification - Tribal Certificate of Indian Blood obtained from the Pueblo of Acoma Tribal Enrollment Department. **Omit your Social Security Number from document before sending
  • Copy of High School Diploma or GED - This only applies to applicants who are entering the first semester of college
  • Unofficial college transcripts - This only applies to applicants who are returning to college after a break in enrollment OR are entering their second or third semester of college; transcripts must include information from most recent semester
  • Essay - In 600 to 800 words, tell us about your possible self. The essay may be developed by answering the following questions: What future expectations do you have for yourself? Think back to what you have learned so far and think ahead to the schoolwork you will need to do - what are your strategies to be successful in college? What do you hope to be doing after graduating from college?

Suncat Scholars

Deadline: June 1, 2020

Requirements:

  • File a free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) that must be received by CNM - Students without a Social Security Number are eligible without a FAFSA and will be identified by CNM Admissions.
  • Qualify for New Mexico resident tuition.
  • For the Fall 2020 semester, be a first-time college student. Applicant must not have attended any college courses before Summer 2020, unless it was as a Dual Credit student, High School or GED (only courses taken towards GED).
  • Commit to a full-time schedule consecutively for Fall, Spring, and Summer terms for a duration of two years (Fall 2020 - Summer 2022).
  • Be placed into college level courses or a maximum of two courses below the 1000 level. If you place into courses below the 1000 level, they can only be from the following list:
  1. - IRW 0980
  2. - or MATH 0980

Course placement is determined by ACT, SAT, H.S. GPA or Accuplacer scores.
