The New Mexico Parent Guide

In partnership with Learning Heroes, NMPED developed "The New Mexico Parent Guide", a unique resource that helps New Mexico parents better support their children both academically and developmentally. The guide contains actionable resources and tools to help parents understand what their child should be learning every year and how to identify strengths and areas of improvements, help with planning for college, tips on family and school partnerships, and much more. Resources on the site are parent friendly, research-based, and available in both English and Spanish

The NM Parent Guide can be accessed at Please contact the PED Family Outreach Coordinator, Gloria Ruiz at if you have any questions.
